I was a probation officer for 22 years. Most of that experience was in Orange County, California. The last few years of my career as a P.O. were in Siskiyou County. While there, I was the primary felony sentencing deputy. Because of that experience and my familiarity with California’s determinate sentencing laws, I was considered a lay expert with regard to sentencing. As such, when I became licensed as a private investigator in California in 1993 part of my role turned out to be used as a mitigation specialist for the defense.
I obtained my private investigator’s license in Oregon in 2009 and have been actively involved in criminal defense ever since. I work for a number of attorneys, and currently have an office with the Law Offices of Justin Rosas.
